Beginning with horizontal or vertical segments, students show the coordinates of the endpoints and make a conjecture about the coordinates of the midpoint.
In the first problem, students construct a horizontal segment in the first quadrant using the Segment tool.
In problem two, students will construct a diagonal segment in the first quadrant.
